Don't Judge Us

The Stereotypes of Los Angeles

Mission Statement

In this website, our mission is to prove that stereotypes aren’t always true and that there is something else going on below the belt.  Stereotypes are generalized assumptions about different groups of people, often leading to quick judgement about someone or something. There are several types of stereotypes found in Los Angeles alone. We will be talking about the stereotypes of Hollywood, beaches, traffic, minorities and women. For example, there’s the stereotype of that women are not as strong as men and are never in charge. articles features defy those odds and hope to get readers to notice empowerment and get empowered as well. There’s a common judgement towards minorities which creates the stereotypes that these people of color are very poor and live in the “ghetto side” of Los Angeles.  We hope to prove these stereotypes false and teach the audience to not be prejudice against others. Next, we hope to show that Hollywood and celebrities are not all there is to Los Angeles. We also dive into the stereotypes of Los Angeles beaches.
